Monsanto Rewards Loyalty and Continuous Support With Loyalty Program

May, 2004 - Monsanto takes the first step to reduce input costs for the 2004 planting season by rewarding clients with reduced herbicide prices with the purchasing of Carnia and Sensako maize and sunflower varieties directly from our seed sales team and approved agents.

Your potential benefit will be calculated by your seed representative according to the quantity of seed you purchase as well as your product choice and district of farming. A temprary document will be issued. This will be replaced by a legal document upon finalization of you seed order. This legal document may then be exchanged at Technichem, Wenkem or Qwemico representatives in your area. This representative will be responsible for the herbicide recommendation and calibration according to weed pressure, weed spectrum and soil type. Take note of the voucher expiring date.

The sunflower program includes Lasso MT. Lasso MT is an excellent herbicide controlling both grasses and broad leave weeds without affecting your crop rotation program. The micro-encapsulated alachlor is released over a longer period of time and are therefore less prone to environmental conditions. Leaching is reduced and the alachlor stays longer in the weed germination zone. This leads to excellent weed control and are definitely an advantage above other herbicides.

Guardian S and Bullet are included in the maize program. Guardian S (contains acetochlor) is a crop safe, long working herbicide that controls both grasses and certain broad leave weeds. The ARC has recently proved that Guardian S is the safest acetochlor-containing herbicide. You may use it with peace of mind. Guardian S does not influence your crop rotation program. Bullet may be added for extended broad leave control. It contains acetochlor, atrazine and terbuthylazine to control both shallow and deep germinating broad leave weeds.
