We commit to bring the knowledge and advantages of all forms of agriculture to resource-poor
farmers in the developing world to help improve food security and protect the environment. In order to
achieve this, a special task force is created within Monsanto to facilitate technological division and
reveal agricultural development agreements on an international level and educational institutions as
well as to include local industries.

The Mlondozi LandCare Project
Monsanto Excellence Awards: South African Program Teaches No-Till Technology to Farmers The Mlondozi
LandCare project was initiated in 1999 as a partnership between the Mlondozi Farming Community,
Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture, the Agricultural Research Council and Monsanto. The project is a
2002 Monsanto Excellence Awards winner in the benefits and sharing category. Kobus Lindeque, Area
Director of Monsanto Sub Sahara Africa, hands over a cheque to community.
