Monsanto is also currently sponsoring two female Masters students (MSc) at the Free State University. The company has also sponsored a Black male together with Grain South Africa, who is studying Agricultural Economics at the same University.

At present Monsanto is also talking to a number of the technicons to consider further sponsorships.

In Africa, Monsanto sponsored a PhD student in Kenya last year and also gave some money to DAPP in Malawi for a vocational school (teaching farming). Monsanto has been approached this year to assist with books for a school in Kenya. Monsanto has given various small donations to a few schools and charities.
